Note: The Family Planning Training Resource Package (TRP) is regularly updated to reflect the latest guidance. Results of the Evidence for Contraceptive Options and HIV Outcomes (ECHO) Study released in June 2019 are not yet reflected in the TRP. We are in the process of determining what updates need to be made to the TRP. In the meantime, please consult these resources:

World Health Organization (WHO) guidance statement, Contraceptive eligibility for women at high risk of HIV | ECHO Consortium website | United Nations joint statement on ECHO results | Results 4 Informed Choice website

The TRP does reflect the newest editions of Family Planning: A Global Handbook for Providers (3rd Edition, 2018) and the WHO’s Medical Eligibility Criteria for Contraceptive Use (5th Edition, August 2015) and Selected Practice Recommendations for Contraceptive Use (3rd Edition, 2016).

______

The TRP contains curriculum components and tools needed to design, implement, and evaluate training. It offers essential resources for family planning (FP) and reproductive health trainers, supervisors, and program managers. The entire package is designed to support up-to-date training on family planning and reproductive health.
